Laborist - AI Research Participants - United States (Remote)
About The Position
Prolific is inviting US-based physicians with laborist or obstetric hospitalist experience to join its Expert Network for paid research and AI-related tasks. This is a remote, freelance, task-based research participation opportunity—not clinical employment or a salaried physician position. There are no guaranteed hours, task volume, or ongoing work. Eligible participants complete expert registration and medical-credential verification, including providing an NPI. They may be invited to complete training or a qualification assessment; physicians who meet project requirements and pass the assessment may then be invited to project tasks. Participants can review each task’s details, estimated time, and confirmed pay before deciding whether to participate. Indicative pay is US$130 per hour for invited paid screening, with project task rates starting at US$216 per hour; these are task-based rates and do not guarantee earnings. Participation is remote and subject to eligibility, verification, assessment results, project requirements, and task availability. Applicants should not include patient information in applications or task submissions. Existing Prolific account holders should follow the recruitment team’s instructions rather than create a duplicate account.
Requirements
- Currently reside in the United States.
- Be a registered physician with a current US medical license and experience in laborist or obstetric hospitalist work.
- Be willing to provide an NPI and complete medical-credential verification during onboarding.
- Be willing to complete required training or a qualification assessment after verification.
- Have access to a computer and reliable internet connection, and be able to follow detailed online instructions.
Responsibilities
- Complete expert registration and medical-credential verification through Prolific’s onboarding process.
- Complete an assessment if invited to establish suitability for the project.
- If qualified and selected, apply laborist or obstetric hospitalist experience to paid research and AI-related tasks as they become available.
- Follow the instructions and confidentiality requirements provided for each task.
