About The Position

Zachry is hiring a Laborer to work at the Bayer Marana Greenhouse and surrounding grounds near Marana, Arizona. The work primarily involves hands-on manual labor, including pot washing, general housekeeping, cleaning greenhouse spaces that may reach 90°F, and other crop- and greenhouse-related activities. The position involves spending much of the workday on your feet and working with industrial equipment. Employees follow instructions and established guidelines under immediate supervision and support site safety requirements by following Zachry and Bayer safety policies and attending regular company-sponsored safety meetings.

The schedule is a 40-hour work week with variable start and end times depending on the hiring group. Weekend work and extended hours or shift work may be required during peak seasons; hours may vary with current restrictions. Weekend and holiday work may be assigned. The role is entry level. No travel pay or per diem is provided. A background check and drug test are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–3 years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes in tasks multiple times a day in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and write, understand verbal and written task and safety instructions in English, and perform assigned tasks accurately.
• Proficiency with current technology such as a smartphone or tablet.
• Ability to bend and lift, sit or stand for extended periods, and stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to climb structures 3 feet tall.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots and perform general housekeeping in the work area.
• Assist with cleaning greenhouse spaces, which may reach 90°F, and perform other crop- and greenhouse-related activities.
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines while working under immediate supervision.
• Adhere to Zachry and Bayer safety policies and standard operating procedures, support site safety requirements, and attend regular company-sponsored safety meetings.
• Take daily direction from supervisors and managers and function as a team member.
