About The Position

Zachry is hiring an entry-level Laborer to work at the Bayer Marana Greenhouse and surrounding grounds near Marana, Arizona. The work is primarily hands-on and manual, with less reliance on automation. Most of the time is spent on your feet working with industrial equipment. Duties include washing pots, general housekeeping, cleaning greenhouse spaces that can reach 90°F, and performing other activities related to crops and greenhouses. The position follows instructions and established guidelines and works under immediate supervision. The employee supports Bayer’s safety program by following safety policies and attending regular company-sponsored safety meetings. The position has no travel pay or per diem. Candidates must pass a background check and drug test.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Zero to three years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing tasks multiple times a day in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to read and write, understand verbal and written task and safety instructions in English, and perform assigned tasks accurately.
• Proficient with current technology, such as a smartphone or tablet.
• Able to bend and lift, and tolerate long periods of sitting or standing.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to climb structures 3 feet tall.
• Able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots and perform general housekeeping of the work area.
• Assist with cleaning greenhouse spaces and perform other crop- and greenhouse-related activities.
• Follow Zachry and Bayer standard operating procedures and site safety requirements.
• Attend regular company-sponsored safety meetings and support the Bayer Safety program.
• Take daily direction from supervisors and managers and function as a team member.
