About The Position

Kamco Supply Corp of New England is hiring a full-time Laborer to load, unload, and deliver materials to job sites and businesses. The role involves working with forklift operators, customers, delivery partners, and other employees, as well as helping maintain clean and safe trucks, yards, warehouses, and offices. The position requires regular and predictable attendance and compliance with company handbook and safety procedures. Kamco Supply is a second-generation-owned company that began in Connecticut 35 years ago and has grown to nine branches from Buffalo, New York, to Cranston, Rhode Island, with a fleet of 75 trucks and more than 500,000 square feet of warehouse and showroom space.

Requirements

Highly motivated, reliable, and attentive to detail.
Able to repeatedly move or lift construction materials.
Able to work in a variety of weather and environmental conditions.
Able to walk, climb, stoop, reach, push, pull, bend, twist, and repeatedly lift or carry up to 150 pounds with another team member.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, and deliver materials to job sites and businesses.
Communicate directions and work effectively with a partner or other team members.
Report job-site issues, including unsafe loading conditions, to the office and address customer questions.
Assist forklift operators when loading trucks.
Assist customers picking up materials while trucks are being loaded for deliveries.
Record returned materials on paperwork and assist with unloading materials returned for credit.
Help maintain good housekeeping in trucks, the yard, warehouse, and office.
Assist fellow employees with deliveries as directed.
Check, tarp, or cover loads as needed due to weather and secure all loads.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Comply with the Kamco Employee Handbook and Safety Policy procedures.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance in accordance with the company attendance policy.
