About The Position

Medpace Reference Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Receiving Assistant for its Sample Management/Biorepository Department. The role involves basic administrative work and the handling and delivery of clinical samples and other materials. The assistant supports sample processing, shipment preparation, inventory accuracy, equipment upkeep, and clinical study timelines while coordinating with project staff, management, and other teams.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Team-oriented and detail-oriented, with good time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior sample management, logistics, or health care experience.

Responsibilities

Receive biological samples.
Process samples, including unpacking, scanning, and data entry.
Handle dry ice.
Prepare sample shipments for third-party laboratories.
Participate in clinical study projects to support testing timelines and deliverables.
Assist with routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.
Retrieve samples and perform quality control of physical inventory for study-related projects, transfers, shipments, and general inventory upkeep.
Maintain database accuracy and enter sample- or subject-related demographic information accurately in accordance with good documentation practices.
Communicate professionally with inter-functional groups regarding daily business, project-specific requests, and problem resolution.
Coordinate with management, project staff, and other team members to complete assigned responsibilities in a timely manner.
