About The Position

Highland Hospital is seeking a full-time Laboratory Assistant Supervisor for its Core Laboratory. The role demonstrates advanced expertise across core laboratory areas and assists Core Laboratory Supervisors with laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and established laboratory and hospital policies. The individual works independently as the Core Laboratory Supervisor when the Supervisor is absent, seeking guidance from the Laboratory Management team as needed. The position also performs Lead Technologist duties as needed.

The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating holidays. The salary range is $40.40–$55.55 per hour. Individual compensation within the range depends on factors including market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology, or must meet New York State Department of Education requirements for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• New York State license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, as determined by regulatory authorities.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist is preferred.
