Laboratory Aide- Monroe
About The Position
As a Laboratory Aide at Monroe Regional Hospital, you will collect patient samples for laboratory screenings, maintain inventory, and distribute supplies as part of the Clinical Laboratory team. The role involves collecting blood samples from neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in the outpatient service area, laboratory, nursing floors, or emergency room. You will label and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing, prepare urine specimens, maintain supply inventory, and notify leadership when supplies are needed. The position also assists with charting and filing laboratory slips, answering the telephone, and keeping the laboratory clean and orderly. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program or previous experience, with the ability to demonstrate phlebotomy skills before employment.
