About The Position

The Labor Systems team works closely with business partners to build innovative applications that support workload, scheduling, time, and deployment for operations leaders and Cast Members. They produce robust applications that improve key aspects of the Cast experience. The team seeks forward-thinking individuals who are passionate about delivering a quality product and enjoy working on both strategic and tactical challenges. This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2027 – June 2027.

Requirements

  • Substantial partnering and influencing skills with the ability to work with leaders at all levels to coordinate team efforts.
  • Strong systems/process orientation with proven analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of computer science, data, and reporting fundamentals.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
  • Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area.
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of one or more object-oriented programming languages.
  • Familiarity with visualization and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of big data, and/or data science concepts.
  • Previous project management experience within a workforce management, labor, or related operation.
  • Previous experience in an analytical and/or data-centric environment.
  • Junior or Senior year preferred.
  • Major or previous coursework in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related major preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the sustainment of existing labor systems, applications, tools, databases, and reporting solutions.
  • Supporting multiple capital and local projects currently in flight.
  • Database design.
  • Backend server management.
  • Front end web development.
  • Dashboard and visualization design.
