About The Position

Our Service Organization is seeking a Summer 2027 intern. Our 10-week paid summer internship program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive and immersive experience. You'll work on real-world projects, contribute to the company's growth and success, and gain valuable experience and insights into the financial services industry. You'll also have the opportunity to network with professionals in your field and build meaningful relationships. If you're a motivated and ambitious individual looking to launch your career, we encourage you to apply for our Service Intern Program. As an intern, you will support initiatives that help drive operational excellence, strategic planning, and business performance across LPL's Service organization. You will partner with leaders across Service, Finance, HR, Data & Analytics, and other business functions to support planning activities, analyze performance metrics, and help advance key strategic priorities. The ideal candidate should be local to the Fort Mill office during the time of the internship and will work on a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
  • Interest in financial services, business strategy, organizational effectiveness, or operational management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information and communicate insights effectively.
  • Offer is contingent upon successful background screening and agreement to be local to one of LPL's office locations during the internship.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a desire to learn the business and contribute to initiatives that create measurable impact.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop polished presentations and reports

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business performance data and operational metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
  • Support strategic planning activities, including research, analysis, and development of materials for leadership discussions.
  • Assist in the creation of executive presentations, reports, and communications for senior leadership audiences.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information, track progress on initiatives, and support business management processes.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, client service strategies, and market developments to inform business recommendations.
  • Support organizational planning activities including headcount, budget, and operational reporting processes.
  • Participate in special projects and departmental initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness and execution.
  • Help streamline processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the Service organization.
