Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service, aiming to serve all humans equally by providing access to essential goods. The company designs, builds, and operates an autonomous logistics system, making millions of deliveries globally. Zipline's system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and offers rapid delivery. The company is seeking practical problem solvers motivated by building systems with a meaningful impact and scaling the future of logistics. The Software Systems Validation team ensures the reliability and safety of the software powering Zipline's autonomous delivery aircraft, operating at a system level to evaluate how components like navigation, perception, and controls work together. The team collaborates with various engineering groups to build validation tools, analyze performance, and identify risks. This internship offers hands-on exposure to industry-leading autonomous systems. As a Software Systems Validation Intern, you will help evaluate the software for Zipline’s autonomous drone delivery system. You will contribute to building tests, tools, metrics, and visualizations to understand system performance, identify issues, and ensure reliability before flight. This role is for individuals eager to learn about validating complex robotic systems, enjoy problem-solving, and want to gain practical experience with autonomy software, data analysis, and systems engineering.
