About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong labor and delivery experience and be comfortable with a variety of clinical tasks in a maternity setting.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring are required.
- Strong skills in circulating C-sections and neonatal care.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Epic EMR is strongly preferred.
- Scrub experience is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Comfort with multi-lingual populations (preferably Russian and Spanish).
Responsibilities
- Perform cervical exams and manage antepartum and labor patients.
- Administer amnio infusions and epidurals as necessary.
- Conduct fetal monitoring and initiate IV therapy including Pitocin administration.
- Circulate during C-sections and assist with newborn delivery (baby catching).
- Evaluate newborns using the APGAR scoring system.
- Provide breastfeeding support and education to new mothers.
- Deliver comprehensive post-partum care from transition to discharge for both mother and baby.
