About The Position

The Lab Technician works in an Authentication Center, where consigned luxury goods are processed, authenticated, and photographed before being listed online. The role uses XRF and X-ray equipment to evaluate items and record readings, supports emerging technologies and baseline data collection, and conducts quality-control reviews of authenticator XRF readings. It is suited to a self-motivated person interested in the jewelry industry who can adapt in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems, stay motivated, and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Google Docs and Gmail.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Self-motivation and a drive to achieve results.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate an XRF machine to assign precious metal components accurately.
• Enter XRF readings into a database.
• Operate an X-ray machine to image fashion products accurately.
• Enter X-ray readings into a database.
• Work with emerging technologies as they are added to daily processes.
• Create baseline data feedback.
• Scan items to locations.
• Review authenticator XRF readings for quality control and compliance with standard operating procedures and authentication standards.
• Document and report quality-control findings, maintaining accurate records and visibility into quality trends.
