About The Position
Join Pace® as a Lab Technician in the sample preparation department of an environmental testing laboratory. The role supports scientists by preparing water and soil samples before analysis, following established procedures, handling solvents and chemicals, and maintaining documentation and databases. Training is provided, with opportunities to develop skills and build a career in laboratory sciences.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a laboratory or office setting and remain standing for long periods while conducting tests.
- Ability to work around strong smells.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment while handling samples, including a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare water and soil samples prior to analysis.
- Follow established sample preparation procedures.
- Work with solvents and chemicals to prepare samples.
- Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.
