About The Position

The Lab Technician I supports scientists in the sample preparation department of an environmental testing laboratory. The role prepares water and soil samples before analysis, follows established sample preparation procedures, works with solvents and chemicals, and maintains documentation and databases. Training is provided to help the employee perform the role and develop a laboratory sciences career. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with compensation of $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a laboratory or office setting.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods while conducting tests.
• Ability to work around strong smells.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment while handling samples, including a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.
