About The Position

The Lab Technician I works in the sample preparation department of an environmental testing laboratory, supporting scientists by preparing water and soil samples for analysis. The role involves following established sample preparation procedures, working with solvents and chemicals, and maintaining appropriate documentation and databases. Training is provided to support success in the role and development of a laboratory sciences career.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a laboratory or office setting.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods while conducting tests.
• Ability to work around strong smells.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment while handling samples, including a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred, but not required.
