About The Position
Da/Pro Rubber is currently hiring for an experienced Lab Technician for our Broken Arrow facility. The Laboratory Technician (Lab Tech) tests samples of milled rubber and/or Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) for basic adherence to specified requirements. Lab Techs also run samples through a press machine to create molded products, document test findings on paper and in a computer database and keep the lab area clean.
Requirements
- Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic calculations
- Understand and communicate details logically and accurately
- Accurately record information
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with computers and various MS Windows and browser-based software.
- Must Be Proficient in Excel
- Basic Lab Procedure Knowledge
- Ability to Multitask
Responsibilities
- Tests rubber compounds using various instruments such as a rheometer and tensometer as well as performs specific gravity, hardness and physical properties testing.
- Prepares documentation of results according to company requirements with a primary focus on quality control.
- Notifies the Chemist when samples don’t meet standards.
- Loads rubber preps and/or LSR on to molds and operates automated press machine to create molded parts.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
