About The Position
Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) Technician - GI Lab Full Time Days. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032. Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours weekly, Day shift, requires after hour on-call shifts, averaging 8 monthly including call shifts on the weekends. Surgery Perioperative Services Department Highlights: Highly skilled, dedicated employees. Fast-paced surgical environment. Flexible staff to ensure the needs of the department and the safety of the patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of GI clinical experience required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous ERCP experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
- Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
- Takes action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
- Documents accurately and appropriately.
- Assists in admission/transfer/discharge.
- In collaboration/consultation with nurse, adapts care to reflect age-specific and developmental considerations.
- Supports and meets regulatory requirements.
