Lab Support Tech
About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Support Services Supervisor, the Lab Support Tech provides quality, customer-oriented laboratory services. These include specimen procurement, specimen processing, related specialized procedures, and communicating information effectively to users of Laboratory Services so the department can operate efficiently and fulfill its mission. Lab Support Techs also provide training and guidance to less experienced laboratory support technicians. The position is in Lab Support Services and is full time, scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with rotational weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- One year of phlebotomy, EKG, and/or specimen processing experience is preferred.
- Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP) is preferred.
