Mayo Clinic is a top-ranked healthcare provider dedicated to its employees with competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for continuing education and advancement. This hybrid position requires the employee to be located within 100 miles of Southaven, Mississippi, for on-site expectations. The role provides technical leadership in the design, implementation, and evolution of clinical reference laboratory systems, including Laboratory Information Systems, Quality Management Systems, middleware, and integration with lab automation, analyzers, and external systems. The Lab Solutions Architect partners with technical architects to ensure IT solutions align with Mayo Clinic Laboratories’ (MCL) strategy and technology roadmap, monitors industry trends, and analyzes enterprise architecture to identify opportunities for improvement. The position involves understanding and documenting core business processes, translating them into data flows, and fostering partnerships with clinical and business areas. It also includes providing leadership in developing new system requirements, researching, evaluating, and selecting vendor solutions, and analyzing their fit within the existing architecture. The role requires maintaining in-depth knowledge of existing systems, potentially serving as a liaison for industry partnerships, and representing Mayo Clinic at national industry events. This is a limited-tenure role supporting the formation, launch, and stabilization of a new company and laboratory, with an expected transition to a permanent infrastructure position within a separate, independent company as the organization matures. Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position, and Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F1 STEM OPT extension program.
