About The Position

Valley View Hospital is hiring a full-time Lab Aide for its Laboratory. The position involves receiving and collecting laboratory specimens, performing phlebotomy and capillary sticks according to laboratory procedures, registering patients, and entering orders, among other duties. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., with one weekend shift per month. The salary range is $20.41 to $30.02 per hour; entry salary depends on education, skill set, and experience. A $2.25-per-hour weekend differential applies when working five or more continuous hours between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Sunday. Valley View is an independent, nonprofit health system based in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It includes a 78-bed hospital and 17 physician clinics serving communities from Glenwood Springs to Aspen and Eagle to Grand Junction. Its services include orthopedic and neurosurgical care, cancer care, and interventional cardiology. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Basic filing skills.
Ability to order tests accurately.
