Assembly Supervisor - Sat-Mon (5pm-5am)
About The Position
US Conec is seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead daily operations within the Assembly Department and support production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives. The role directs assembly employees, coordinates workflow, maintains production schedules, and drives continuous improvement to support customer commitments and operational excellence. The supervisor works cross-functionally to meet production goals while promoting accountability, efficiency, and employee engagement, and supports the development of a high-performing team. The scheduled shift is Saturday through Monday, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to effectively direct, supervise, and monitor a large workforce within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in a related field.
- Two or more years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience managing large employee populations, including temporary workforce personnel.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process documentation and production scheduling systems.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Communicate job expectations by planning, monitoring, and evaluating employee performance.
- Coach, counsel, train, and discipline employees while enforcing company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain workflow according to Production Tracker and Shipping Schedule requirements by scheduling and assigning personnel, setting priorities, and monitoring progress.
- Review and approve new or revised Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI).
- Implement and monitor approved cost-reduction strategies, reporting procedures, and operational systems.
- Develop and provide input regarding assembly labor requirements and production costs associated with customer orders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve customer deadlines and production commitments.
- Establish and adjust work procedures to meet changing production schedules and business demands.
- Recommend improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Report equipment malfunctions and collaborate with maintenance personnel to resolve operational issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve working conditions, workflow efficiency, and equipment utilization.
- Coordinate staffing, manpower planning, and overtime requirements based on production demands.
- Maintain and approve employee timekeeping and production records.
- Interpret company policies and ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Serve as backup to the Assembly Operations Supervisor as needed.
