About The Position

Nesco Data Center is seeking a hands-on Level 2 IT / Systems Integration Technician to support an onsite IT team in a fast-paced manufacturing and facility construction environment. The technician will assist with installation, integration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of IT hardware, industrial computing systems, and supporting infrastructure as new operations and facilities come online. The role includes training on site-specific equipment, applications, and procedures. Success requires learning quickly, following technical direction, researching unfamiliar issues, and taking initiative with minimal day-to-day supervision. The position supports projects such as human-machine interface (HMI) refreshes, camera system deployments, PC and peripheral installations, equipment staging, system racking, and general IT infrastructure integration. The technician will work alongside IT personnel, engineering teams, contractors, and other stakeholders as manufacturing spaces, laboratory systems, and operational infrastructure are completed and commissioned. This is a six-month contract assignment, possibly extending, supporting active infrastructure deployment, equipment refresh, and manufacturing technology integration initiatives. The work is primarily hands-on and onsite. The schedule is Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, with flexible start and end times between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM; the typical team schedule is approximately 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, depending on the lunch break. Success is measured by learning the environment, executing assigned technical work, troubleshooting effectively, and bringing equipment and systems online accurately and on schedule.

  • Experience installing, connecting, configuring, and testing computers, monitors, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically, isolate potential causes, and work toward solutions independently.
  • Familiarity with physical infrastructure tasks, including cable management, equipment mounting, rack-and-stack activities, and hardware staging.
  • Comfort working in manufacturing, industrial, laboratory, construction, or other active operational environments.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, standard operating procedures, wiring diagrams, installation documentation, and equipment specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling equipment, documenting installations, and validating completed work.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with an onsite IT team, engineers, contractors, and operational personnel.
  • Self-directed work style, sound judgment, resourcefulness, and willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies and processes.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot PC hardware, operating systems, peripheral devices, connectivity issues, configuration problems, and system integration challenges.
  • Verify that installed equipment, applications, displays, scanners, printers, and connected systems function as intended before operational handoff.
  • Investigate hardware and connectivity problems in the field, identify root causes where possible, implement appropriate fixes, and escalate more complex issues when necessary.
  • Work with IT personnel, engineering teams, contractors, and other stakeholders as manufacturing spaces, laboratory systems, and operational infrastructure are completed and commissioned.
  • Maintain installation records, equipment inventories, configuration notes, test results, and issue documentation.
