About The Position

Summit TRC is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to solve systems-level integration challenges for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAS) platforms in support of the warfighter. The role focuses on designing, integrating, deploying, and troubleshooting Linux operating systems, virtual machines, and containers; automating deployment and system management; and resolving complex issues across software, networks, and hardware. The position is performed onsite in Huntsville, Alabama. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold an active Secret or higher security clearance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
U.S. citizenship.
Active Secret or higher security clearance.
Strong proficiency with Linux systems and command-line use.
Knowledge of virtualized environments, virtual machines, and hypervisors such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V.
Experience troubleshooting and solving complex systems-level problems.
Proven experience with scripting and automation tools such as Bash, Python, or Ansible.
Solid understanding of core networking concepts and firewall configurations to support system-to-system integration and secure data flows.

Experience with containerization platforms.

Responsibilities

Perform design, integration, deployment, and troubleshooting tasks involving Linux operating systems, virtual machines, and containers.
Orchestrate system-to-system integration to validate and optimize compatibility, performance, and security.
Develop scripts for autonomous deployment, monitoring, or configuration management using tools such as Bash, Python, or Ansible.
Diagnose issues and perform complex systems-level troubleshooting across software, networks, and hardware components.
Gather and analyze system data to identify integration requirements and diagnose system needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on integration and deployment objectives and system constraints.
Create technical instructions, integration architectures, configuration guides, and other documentation supporting system deployment and troubleshooting.
Research, evaluate, and recommend information systems, technologies, and infrastructure components that address technical requirements.
Communicate critical system information, updates, and decisions throughout the organization.
Provide ongoing post-integration troubleshooting and support.
