About The Position
The Kitchen Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of pots, pans, kitchen equipment, and kitchen areas. The role includes washing dishware and equipment, cleaning floors and storage areas, restocking buffet lines, and supporting banquet dish-ups as needed. The Kitchen Worker follows company health, sanitation, and safety regulations, operates equipment as directed, and maintains an efficient work pace that meets business demands. The position also involves assisting patrons with questions and directing them to safety areas during emergencies, while providing pleasant, friendly, and professional customer service.
Requirements
- Must have a neat and clean appearance.
- Nevada Health Card.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Back-of-house restaurant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of pots and pans.
- Wash china, glassware, and silverware; mop and sweep floors; and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Wash floormats, speed racks, queen marys, kettles, roasting pans, dollies, and other equipment.
- Restock buffet lines with ice, china, flatware, and glassware.
- Polish silver equipment as needed or directed.
- Empty trash cans and keep the loading dock clean.
- Maintain floor cleanliness as directed by the supervisor.
- Clean walk-ins, freezers, reach-ins, and back hallways.
- Assist with banquet dish-ups as needed or directed by the supervisor.
- Follow all applicable health department, sanitation, and company safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and equipment.
- Work at a pace that ensures supplies are cleaned and returned to their proper place while meeting business demands.
- Operate equipment as directed and respect company property.
- Assist others with duties as directed by supervisors.
- Answer patrons' questions and direct them to safety areas during emergencies as instructed by management, security, or senior crew members.
- Provide patrons with pleasant, friendly, and professional customer service.
