About The Position

The Kitchen Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of pots, pans, kitchen equipment, and kitchen areas. The role includes washing dishes and equipment, cleaning floors and storage areas, restocking buffet lines, and assisting with banquet dish-ups as needed. The worker follows company health, sanitation, and safety regulations, operates equipment as directed, supports coworkers, and provides patrons with courteous, professional assistance, including directing them to safety areas during emergencies.

Requirements

• A Nevada Health Card is required.
• A neat and clean appearance is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Back-of-house restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all pots and pans.
• Wash china, glassware, and silverware; mop and sweep floors; and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Wash floor mats, speed racks, Queen Mary carts, kettles, roasting pans, dollies, and other kitchen items.
• Restock buffet lines with ice, china, flatware, and glassware.
• Polish silver equipment as needed or directed.
• Empty trash cans and keep the loading dock clean.
• Maintain the cleanliness of floors as directed by the supervisor.
• Clean walk-ins, freezers, reach-ins, and back hallways.
• Assist with banquet dish-ups as needed or directed by the supervisor.
• Follow company health department, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Work at a pace that keeps supplies cleaned and properly stored while meeting business demands.
• Operate equipment as directed.
• Respect company property.
• Assist others with duties as directed by supervisors.
• Answer patrons’ questions and direct them to safety areas during emergencies as instructed by management, security, or senior crew members.
• Provide patrons with pleasant, friendly, and professional customer service.
