About The Position

The Kitchen Utility Worker plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized dining environment. This position supports kitchen and dining operations by ensuring sanitation, equipment care, and food storage standards are consistently upheld. The role may also assist with food preparation, plating, dining room cleaning, table resetting, and light meal service as assigned. The position follows OSHA, food safety, and Sunrise safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain dishwashing and pot-washing areas.
• Operate dish machines and follow proper sanitation procedures.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and glassware.
• Complete and maintain temperature, sanitation, and equipment logs.
• Clean kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and refrigerators.
• Perform janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assist with food preparation and plating as needed.
• Support proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food and supplies using FIFO.
• Maintain safe storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Assist with dining room cleaning, table resetting, and light meal service when assigned.
• Follow OSHA, food safety, and Sunrise safety standards.
