Kitchen Utility Attendant/Dishwasher - Sheild's Tavern
About The Position
The Kitchen Utility Attendant/Dishwasher works at Sheild's Tavern, processing and washing china, glassware, eating utensils, and cooking utensils using a large dishwashing machine and by hand when appropriate. The role requires following instructions and a strict sanitation policy. Candidates must be available to work all schedules, including nights, weekends, Sundays, and holidays. Successful candidates must obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County Food Handlers Card; candidates with an active card should be prepared to present it during the interview process. The anticipated hiring range is $18.50–$19.50 per hour, with actual compensation based on factors including skills, qualifications, experience, education, certifications, internal equity, and role requirements.
Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Prior experience performing heavy cleaning, preferably in a commercial kitchen setting.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County Food Handlers Card.
- Must be available to work all schedules, including nights, weekends, Sundays, and holidays.
- Ability to lift, handle, and transport up to 100 pounds as necessary.
- Ability to carry heavy objects up and down stairs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work at a fast pace for several hours at a time.
- Ability to work at heights over 6 feet.
