About The Position

Jacksons Restaurant & Bar, adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe in Canonsburg, is seeking a motivated, hands-on Kitchen Supervisor. The role leads the kitchen team during each shift, upholds established menu and quality standards, and steps in on the line as needed. The property is locally owned and operated by Piatt Hotel Group, a family-owned management group with properties across Western Pennsylvania. Requirements

At least 2 years of kitchen experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stay organized and keep the team on track in a fast-paced environment.
Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Reliable and punctual.
Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

Lead cook or supervisory experience preferred.
ServSafe certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers during each shift to keep service running smoothly.
Execute menu items, recipes, and plating standards consistently, and ensure the team does the same.
Train new kitchen team members on recipes, station setup, and kitchen procedures.
Enforce food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures, and keep the kitchen inspection-ready.
Assist with scheduling, inventory counts, ordering, and receiving deliveries as needed.
Help control food cost and waste through proper portioning, rotation, and prep planning.
Work the line and assist with prep during peak hours and as needed.
Report kitchen issues, staffing concerns, and equipment needs, and help carry out solutions.
Communicate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely, accurate service.
