About The Position

The Kitchen Steward maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen. The role includes cleaning dishes, pots, equipment, and floors; removing trash; returning clean china, glassware, and silverware to their proper storage locations; and helping ensure food is stored and rotated correctly. The steward works with kitchen teammates, may interact with guests, and is expected to approach varied tasks with flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment. The shift is 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, and/or relevant experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
Strong decision-making skills, including the ability to evaluate alternatives and act quickly and accurately.
Ability to perform effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent, and/or relevant experience in a hotel or related field.

Responsibilities

Clean dishes and scrub pots.
Clean kitchen equipment and sweep floors.
Remove trash and keep kitchen areas clean.
Return clean china, glassware, and silverware to their proper storage locations, taking care to prevent breakage.
Help ensure food is stored and rotated appropriately.
Work cooperatively with kitchen teammates and connect with guests when needed.
Adapt to varied tasks and maintain reliability and sound judgment.
