About The Position

This position is responsible for general kitchen cleaning duties, including cleaning and mopping kitchen floors and removing trash, as well as restocking supplies and food in assigned areas. The role also transports clean service ware and allocates it according to event orders to supply functions or restaurants. The employee maintains kitchen equipment and work areas in clean, sanitary, and operable condition; operates dishwashing equipment; replenishes buffet areas; and complies with health and safety standards. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Understand and comply with company and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchens and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and fully operable condition.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean china, glass, and silver and maintain sanitation.
• Empty trash and follow established safety policies and procedures.
• Report faulty equipment to management immediately.
• Restock and replenish buffet areas and maintain them with needed food.
• Stock the kitchen and restaurant with supplies.
• Break down boxes and other food and beverage supplies.
• Transport clean service ware and allocate it according to event orders for functions or restaurants.
• Comply with health and safety standards.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
