About The Position

Alto Walden Woods is hiring a Part-Time Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher to join our dining team. With four consistent afternoon shifts ending at 6:30pm, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants steady part-time hours without late nights — in a warm, welcoming senior living community that will train you from day one. No experience? No problem. We'll teach you everything you need to know. The primary responsibility of the Kitchen Assistant is to set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must have an awareness of safety practices.
Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
The Community is a drug free workplace.

Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, flatware, and kitchen equipment
Support the culinary and dining team during afternoon meal service
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining environment throughout your shift
Restock supplies and keep stations ready throughout service
Be a dependable, team-first presence in a well-run kitchen
Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils.
Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment.
Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen.
Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service.
Set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties.
