Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher - Senior Living (PM Shift)
About The Position
Allegro Winter Park is hiring a Full-Time Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher to join our culinary team in one of Central Florida's most beautiful senior living communities. With consistent PM hours ending at 8pm and a full benefits package, this is a kitchen role that actually takes care of you. The primary responsibility of the Kitchen Assistant is to set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties. Areas of Responsibility Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils. Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment. Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen. Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service. Requirements
- Prior kitchen experience — required
- Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have an awareness of safety practices
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment throughout every shift
- Assist with basic food prep and kitchen tasks as directed by the culinary team
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment throughout service
- Restock kitchen supplies and keep stations ready throughout the shift
- Support the culinary team to keep meal service running smoothly
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Cover open shifts as needed
- Set tables
- Bus tables
- Assist the Cook as needed
- Complete cleaning duties
- Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils
- Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment
- Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen
