Dishwasher / Kitchen Assistant - Senior Living
About The Position
Allegro Hyde Park is hiring a Full-Time Dishwasher / Kitchen Assistant to join our dining team in one of Tampa's most vibrant senior living communities. This role offers a consistent Tuesday–Saturday schedule with an early Saturday finish, providing steady full-time hours without working Sunday or Monday. No experience is required, just a strong work ethic and a team-first attitude. The primary responsibility of the Kitchen Assistant is to set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties. Areas of Responsibility include thoroughly washing all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils, properly maintaining all dishwashing equipment, and working as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen. The role also involves contributing to high-quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have an awareness of safety practices
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening
- Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior back-of-house or kitchen experience
- Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils to keep the kitchen running smoothly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment throughout every shift
- Support the culinary team with basic food prep and kitchen tasks as needed
- Restock dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies throughout the shift
- Set tables
- Bus tables
- Assist the Cook as needed
- Complete cleaning duties
- Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils
- Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment
- Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen
- Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service
