About The Position

Alto Tavares is hiring a Full-Time Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher to join our culinary team in one of Central Florida's most charming lakeside communities. With shifts that end by 7pm and a full benefits package, this is a kitchen role that actually takes care of you. The primary responsibility of the Kitchen Assistant is to set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties. Areas of Responsibility include thoroughly washing all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils; properly maintaining all dishwashing equipment; working as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen; and helping to contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must pass a background screening
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must have an awareness of safety practices.
Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

Nice To Haves

6+ months of food service or kitchen experience — preferred
Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils throughout every shift
Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment
Set tables, bus tables, and support dining room setup and breakdown
Assist the culinary team with meal service and kitchen tasks as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
Be a dependable, team-first presence in a well-run kitchen
Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils.
Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment.
Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen.
Help contribute to high quality Dining Services operations by paying attention to food presentation and taste, and courteous responses to residents and associates during meal service.
