About The Position

Copeland’s of New Orleans is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-volume, full-service restaurant. The role is hands-on and focused on food quality, cost control, kitchen culture, and operational excellence. The Kitchen Manager upholds the company’s recipes, standards, and systems; develops accountable kitchen teams; and partners with the General Manager to achieve financial and operational goals.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Kitchen Management experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Proven ability to manage food and labor costs.
• Experience with inventory systems, prep planning, and forecasting.
• Strong leadership presence in high-volume environments.
• Experience training and developing line cooks and prep teams.
• Proficiency in basic reporting and restaurant systems.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and enforce Copeland’s recipes, specifications, systems, and food standards.
• Manage food cost, inventory levels, ordering, and waste control.
• Drive labor efficiency through effective scheduling and productivity management.
• Lead kitchen shifts with urgency, organization, and attention to detail.
• Train, develop, and retain back-of-house team members.
• Maintain high standards for food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
• Partner with the General Manager to meet financial and operational goals.
• Ensure guests consistently receive high-quality food.
