Responsibilities

  • Ensuring a great experience for guests and team members.
  • Coaching and developing Kitchen Operations Leaders & Team Leaders to achieve goals.
  • Ensuring the Kitchen team has systems in place for excellent performance.
  • Leading and developing direct reports.
  • Casting the company vision and living out the purpose: F.A.S.T. (Focus on the Guest First, Attention to Detail, Sense of Urgency, Think Food Safety).
  • Ensuring team members are treated with honor, dignity, and respect.
  • Overseeing Food Cost and ensuring target IPO is met.
  • Overseeing Inventory through truck orders, weekly spot counts, and end-of-month counts.
  • Ensuring the kitchen is organized for optimal performance.
  • Overseeing speed of service to deliver high-quality products quickly.
  • Working with Kitchen Operations Leads to track goals and results and communicate them effectively.
  • Coaching and mentoring Operations Leads, Team Leaders, Trainers, and Team Members for improved work performance.
  • Leading monthly meetings with the kitchen leadership team.
  • Identifying and developing talent among team members through leadership development.
  • Cultivating a culture of honor, dignity, and respect.
  • Overseeing overall kitchen cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and in working order.
  • Executing huddles to ensure team alignment.
  • Ensuring Morning, Transition, and Closing checklists are completed.
  • Helping the team keep score of their performance.
  • Working closely with fellow Directors to ensure all business areas flow well together.
  • Walking with Quality Improvement Visits and EcoSure Food Safety Audits during assessments.
  • Holding team members accountable to handbook policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring the overall health of the Kitchen and that it is growing with business needs.
  • Participating in food donations and accurate tracking with Shared Table.
