About The Position
Haven is a chef-driven restaurant opening in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, and is seeking founding kitchen team members. Backed by Chetola Resort, Haven offers the excitement of a new restaurant with the stability of an established hospitality destination. This role is an opportunity to join before opening day and help shape the standards, systems, culture, and identity of Haven from the ground up. The menu is rooted in Appalachian cuisine, showcasing hyper-seasonal ingredients through small plates and tasting menus, inspired by global culinary traditions and modern techniques. We are looking for cooks who take pride in their craft, care about details, support teammates, and are eager to grow. Curiosity, discipline, humility, and a desire to improve are essential.
Requirements
- Previous line cook experience in a scratch kitchen environment
- Strong knife skills and fundamental cooking techniques
- Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
- Passion for great food and respect for quality ingredients

- Fine dining, tasting menu, or chef-driven restaurant experience is a plus, but not required
