About The Position

Active Day is hiring Custodians/Housekeepers to help maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for members, families, and employees. The role performs routine housekeeping and cleaning duties, sanitizes member areas, maintains assigned areas according to established standards, and helps ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The Housekeeper may also assist the Kitchen Manager with dishwashing and light food preparation as needed to support meal service. The position contributes to a caring environment for seniors and adults with special needs. Full-time, part-time, and per-diem opportunities are available. No prior experience is necessary to be considered for training, although the listed qualifications also request proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent required.
Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong prioritization and time management skills.
Customer-oriented and friendly demeanor.
Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
Sanitize member areas such as tables, bathrooms, and kitchens.
Remove trash from the facility daily.
Inspect rooms to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
Assist the Kitchen Manager with dishwashing and light food preparation as needed to support meal service.
Properly handle and protect equipment, and report deficiencies.
Follow health and safety rules and company policies.
Complete other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
