About The Position

The Kitchen Janitorial Cleaner performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. The role supports the overall appearance and sanitation of the workplace and contributes to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. Duties include routine kitchen cleaning, cleaning and polishing appliances and surfaces, handling trash and recycling, maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment, restocking hand towels and soap, and reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages. The cleaner follows applicable safety procedures and company cleaning and sanitation protocols. ABM describes this as a suitable opportunity for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Requirements

Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in kitchen cleaning, janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles.

Responsibilities

Perform routine kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
Clean and polish hoods, exterior appliances, stainless steel on walls, the outside of ice machines, and hand-washing sinks.
Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to company policies.
Clean the inside and outside of gas stoves, ovens and rack ovens, char broilers and flat tops, brazier/kettles, mixers, and other listed kitchen equipment.
Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
Restock hand towels and hand soap.
Follow safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
