About The Position

Ryder is hiring a permanent, full-time Warehouse Sanitation employee in Newnan, Georgia. The position pays $17.71 per hour, with a $0.50 shift differential. The employee helps maintain a safe, clean, tour-ready warehouse and related areas by following sanitation schedules, performing light maintenance, and assisting maintenance technicians as needed. Products handled include food. Equipment used at the facility includes reach trucks, forklifts, clamps, and electric pallet jacks. Safety gear is provided, and on-the-job paid training is available. Overtime may be needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
• May be required to be equipment-certified, depending on location.
• Ability to recognize and read location, date, and product codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across organizational levels, including peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and self-motivation to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
• Some positions may require additional screening, which may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, or customer-required badging or background checks.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and office areas according to the sanitation schedule.
• Clean exterior building areas, including windows and walkways, and empty trash containers and receptacles according to the sanitation schedule.
• Sweep and scrub warehouse floors and office areas according to the sanitation schedule.
• Wipe down warehouse and office racks, guard rails, and walls according to the sanitation schedule.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tour-ready facility.
• Assist maintenance technicians as required and perform light maintenance activities such as painting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and work overtime as needed.
