About The Position

Wayland Union Schools is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support food service during student days. The position is 4 hours per day, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and is subject to the Food Service Agreement found on the district website. Employment is contingent upon passing post-offer background checks.

Requirements

• Self-motivated with a good work ethic.
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliable attendance.
• Ability to work well with students, teachers, coworkers, and administrators.
• Accurate record-keeping capabilities.
• Ability to follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic PC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present food.
• Perform quality assurance.
• Serve food.
• Handle cash.
