About The Position
The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for cleaning and food storage activities, including washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and rotating food and supplies in the dining room, bistro, and other dining-related areas. The role supports a senior living community and offers training and opportunities for advancement and education assistance. Shifts are available in the mornings and evenings, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally in English.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with good time-management skills.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete duties and associated paperwork required by daily closing, weekly, and monthly checklists.
- Perform other cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned.
- Perform duties in accordance with Serve-Safe sanitation guidelines.
- Practice a high level of safety in all work practices.
- Wash dishes and clean equipment.
- Rotate food and supplies in dining-related areas.
