About The Position

Claiborne Senior Living is hiring a Kitchen Assistant / Dishwasher to help create a welcoming, high-quality dining experience for residents. The role supports kitchen and dining operations by transporting, washing, sanitizing, and storing dishes and equipment; keeping work and dining areas clean and organized; assisting with kitchen breakdown and cleaning; and providing dining-room support when needed. The employee follows sanitation and safety standards, interacts professionally with residents, families, and guests, and reports concerns about resident well-being to a supervisor. The position is part of a fast-paced, team-oriented senior living community where dining contributes to residents’ comfort, connection, and community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and safety.
• Team player with a positive, reliable attitude.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant or dining experience preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport dishes, utensils, and equipment to and from the kitchen.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store kitchen items.
• Keep the dish room, kitchen, and dining areas clean and organized.
• Assist with kitchen breakdown and daily cleaning tasks.
• Support dining room service when needed.
• Maintain a safe environment by following sanitation and safety standards.
• Interact with residents, families, and guests in a friendly and professional way.
• Communicate concerns about resident well-being to a supervisor.
• Work with the team to keep operations running smoothly.
