About The Position
Be the behind-the-scenes hero of our dining team. Alto Boynton Ridge is looking for a hardworking, reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our Dietary Services team. If you take pride in keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly, and you want a role where your work directly supports residents' quality of life, we'd love to have you on our team. The primary responsibility of the Kitchen Assistant is to set tables, bus tables, wash dishes, assist the Cook as needed, and complete cleaning duties. Areas of Responsibility: Thoroughly wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, and utensils. Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment. Work as part of the Dining Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen. Requirements
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented
- A team-first attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must have an awareness of safety practices
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening
Nice To Haves
- No prior experience required — we'll train you!
- Minimum of six (6) months food service (or related field) preferred
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment, and properly store clean items
- Set up dining areas and assist with meal service to ensure residents receive meals in a timely manner
- Stock and organize food, supplies, and kitchen inventory
- Support the dietary team in delivering a positive dining experience for residents
- Set tables
- Bus tables
- Assist the Cook as needed
- Complete cleaning duties
