About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting students’ growth and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead and work with students and their families to build trusting relationships, communicate progress, and provide an excellent customer experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate students’ progress and goals to students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
