About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count while ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music, nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also includes partnering with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students, assisting with customer service as needed, and communicating frequently with students and families about progress and goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums or guitar.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
Partner with students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships and embracing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate each student’s progress and goals to students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
