About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow student enrollment and support each student’s ongoing development and enjoyment of music. The role also involves creating a positive customer experience and nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will partner with students and their families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships and sharing progress toward their goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student enrollment based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships through a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
