About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth and enjoyment of music. You will contribute to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provide an excellent customer experience. The role also includes building trusting partnerships with students and their families through frequent communication about student goals, progress, and development.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships through a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
