About The Position

Guitar Center is hiring a Music Teacher to teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher supports student growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music while helping nurture a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also focuses on growing and retaining student enrollment and delivering an excellent customer experience. The teacher partners with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, communicates regularly with students and families about goals and progress, and helps build trusting relationships with parents. Customer service support and other assigned duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as guitar or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and valuing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Share students’ goals and progress frequently with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
