About The Position
Guitar Center’s Music Teacher teaches music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The role focuses on increasing and retaining student enrollment while helping each student grow, develop, and enjoy playing music. The teacher also contributes to a welcoming store culture grounded in integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provides an excellent customer experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and value parents’ knowledge of their children as music learners.
- Share students’ progress and goals frequently with students and/or their parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
